Getting Married at Thirteen Thirty One

Thirteen Thirty One is located in the heart of the historical city of York with an array of photo opportunities close by. This, combined with our unique maze like building makes our venue a prime spot for your special day. We appreciate that no two weddings will be the same, so we offer a variety of packages to incorporate all of the essential elements of the day. It's then up to you to add the final touches and to put your spin on things!

We recognise that organising your dream wedding can seem a daunting task so we are here to make the process as easy and as simple as possible for you. Get in contact with us so that we can arrange a time for you to view the premises. We can then book you in provisionally to secure your date.

 

Following this, you will need to contact York Registry office to confirm their availability. They will provide you with all the information you need to know regarding fulfilling the legal requirements of the process. It would be best to do this at your soonest opportunity to ensure you get the date and time you are after.

Once you have confirmed your ceremony date and time with the registry office, you can then confirm the date with us. We require a £200.00 deposit which is non refundable if you cancel, but otherwise redeemed on the day.

 

Having the date confirmed means that we can get on with planning the finer details of your wedding day including menu sampling, seating arrangements, decorations and music.

 

When we have finalised the details for the day and know the final costs involved, we can discuss the payment. The balance is due a week ahead of the wedding, although we can happily take installments in advance.

 

Tiffany Package One

The following points are based on 40 people:

 

  • a dedicated wedding consultant.
  • exlusive use of the Tiffany room for the wedding ceremony.
  • a glass of Cava for each of your guests to accompany a selection of delicious canapes, which, depending on availability, can be enjoyed in our lovely secret garden.
  • exclusive use of the first floor lounge for your 3 course wedding breakfast.
  • tables clothed in white for you to add the final touches to.
  • an enthusiastic team to decorate the rooms as per your wishes.
  • 1 glass of wine per person during the meal.
  • a glass of Cava for the toast.

 

The following points are based on 80 people:

 

  • enjoy the first floor lounge for your evening reception until 2am.
  • 7 piece evening buffet for 80 guests presented in our beautiful Tiffany room.

  • a glass of Prosecco for each of your guests to accompany a selection of delicious canapes, which, depending on availability, can be enjoyed in our lovely secret garden.
  • exclusive use of the first floor lounge for your 3 course wedding breakfast.
  • tables clothed in white for you to add the final touches to.
  • an enthusiastic team to decorate the rooms as per your wishes.
  • 2 glasses of wine per person during the meal.
  • a glass of Prosecco for the toast.

 

The following points are based on 80 people:

 

  • enjoy the first floor lounge for your evening reception until 2am.
  • 8 piece evening buffet for 80 guests presented in our beautiful Tiffany room.

  • an enthusiastic team to decorate the rooms as per your wishes.
  • 2 glasses of wine per person during the meal.
  • a glass of Champgne for the toast.
  • the use of Brandy Browns Little Cinema

 

The following points are based on 80 people:

 

  • enjoy the first floor lounge for your evening reception until 2am.
  • 10 piece evening buffet for 80 guests presented in our beautiful Tiffany room.

Check List

 

Here is a simplistic guideline to help you get started:

 

- Start your guest list so that you have an idea of how many people need to be catered for.

- Choose a date! Get it booked in with both 1331 and York Registry Office.

- Choose which package you want to go for.

- Send out save the date cards/wedding invitations.

- Start looking into florists, photographers and bands/DJ's. Or create your own playlist!

- If you would like your guests to choose their meal, send out the menu for them to pick from.

- Organise place cards and wedding favours, if desired.

- Decide on a cake, if you are having one.

- Create a seating plan and a list of your guests menu choices; Send this to us a fortnight in advance.

- Make a list of those giving a toast and if possible, see how long it will take so as to decide where in the day to fit it in.

- Finalise the readings and music for the ceremony, meal and evening reception.

- Finalise the order of the day, how things will run.

- Decide how you will get to the venue. We need to know a month in advance.

- Book in a time for the day before your wedding to drop in all your decorations, etc.

 

 

Stag & Hen Parties

You've probably been referred to us by a friend or have been curious about hiring a cinema for your own use. In whichever way you've managed to find out about our private cinema, we know you won't be dissappointed.

 

Brandy Brown's Little Cinema has held numerous stag and hen parties ranging from virtual horse racing days to sing alongs with 'Mama Mia' or 'Grease'! It's unusual, it's brilliant and it is loved by everyone who's hired it out before!

 

If you are interested in making a private booking we offer two terms of hire.

 

Either:

 

£120 to cover the licensing of your chosen film, plus a £300 minimum spend. This will give you exclusivity of the cinema regardless of numbers. Your guests can then order their own food and drinks separately.

 

-OR-

 

We offer a package for private bookings at £35 a head for a minimum of 16 people which includes:

 

Exclusivity of the cinema.

Licensing of the film of your choice.

Arrival glass of bubbly.

Choice of meal from our cinema menu.

An ice bucket (per person) with either a bottle of wine, 3 beers/ciders or soft drinks.
