More than just a bar...
Over the 13 years of trading in the heart of York we have steadily grown from a couple of rooms to a rabbit warren of activity.
Now with many rooms, you can get involved with all sorts at 1331.
Enjoy our range of great beers, wines, cocktails & quality home cooked food. Watch a film, or the latest sporting event; in our luxury cinema. We host a regular SpeedQuiz night every Tuesday, live music & DJ's; check our What's On.
We now have 3 pool tables, 2 dart boards & a foosball table
We have rooms of all sizes & a walled beer garden to soak up the Sun (sometimes. Weather permitting, but it is covered & heated.) We also have a four luxury apartments that you can stay in for the weekend or longer.

We are open from 8am everyday serving home cooked breakfast & hot drinks. You can go for the full English, the healthy granola option or just a simple oven baked croissant.
Our lunch menu, which includes yummy toasties & hot jackets, is served from 11am alongside our main menu & set menu which is available until 10pm.
You can dine alfresco in our sunny (sometimes) walled garden, in the covered courtyard, the courtyard bar, in the first floor dining area or our Tiffany room which is ideal for private dining for up to 36 people.

We have a few different areas which are ideal for private dining/drinks parties. We can accommodate parties of up to 200 people & can provide music, food & a wide selection of drinks options. Our courtyard bar is perfect for a small get together. The bar spills onto a covered heated courtyard.
The front area is a great place for a hot drink and cake deal, a bite to eat, a casual drink or many drinks.

The garden is mainly covered & heated. It seats around 40 people in covered area, with a long bench down the middle which is open to wrath of the gods.
Our largest room can accommodate up to 52 guests for a sit down meal & 120 for a celebration party.
You can have your own DJ or band. We also have a small games room to add a little extra to your party.
The bar is well stocked and the rest-rooms are on the same level.
This is our Art Deco inspired room with a full wedding licence & a capacity of 40 guests for the ceremony.
It can accommodate up to 36 people for a private sit down meal.
This room is also ideal for a small meeting/conference.
Our little cinema can seat up to 24 & can be privately booked out to show a film of your choice.
Great for a stag or hen party to break up the day.
We show sporting events including premiership football & rugby union internationals.

Thirteen Thirty One is located in the heart of the historical city of York with an array of photo opportunities close by.
This, combined with our unique maze like building makes our venue a prime spot for your special day. We appreciate that no two weddings will be the same, so we offer a variety of packages to incorporate all of the essential elements of the day.
It's then up to you to add the final touches and to put your spin on things!

Stay over at Thirteen Thirty One
If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the heart of the city you may want to take a look at our two apartments on offer. You can enjoy the luxury of a whole apartment to yourself with all the home comforts including a cooked breakfast from only £80 per night.

"They have a cinema too!"
On our top floor we have a boutique cinema with seats for 24 people. The screen is 3 metres wide and has 7.1 surround sound. Ideal for a private cinema party.
Brandy Brown's Little Cinema has held numerous stag and hen parties ranging from virtual horse racing, live sporting events, Big Labowski events (which includes going ten pin bowling in dressing gowns) to sing along with 'Mama Mia', 'Grease' or 'Dirty Dancing'! It's unusual, it's brilliant and it is loved by everyone who has hired it out before! It's fully licensed so you can enjoy your beer or wine whilst enjoying your favourite movies.
If you are interested in making a private booking we offer two terms of hire.
Either:
£140 to cover the licensing of your chosen film, plus a £300 minimum spend. This will give you exclusivity of the cinema regardless of numbers. Your guests can then order their own food and drinks separately. If you are hiring the cinema for a games night, sporting event a film you have personally made, you are not required to pay the licensing fee.
If you would like to hire out our Tiffany room for a sit down meal in addition to the cinema, you can do so for a minimum spend of £500 and 12 guests each ordering from one of our 3 course set menus.

We offer a package for private bookings at £35 a head for a minimum of 16 people which includes:
Exclusivity of the cinema.
Licensing of the film of your choice (anything out on DVD).
Arrival glass of Prosecco.
Choice of meal from our cinema menu.
An ice bucket (per person) with either a bottle of wine, 3 beers/ciders or soft drinks.

You can book out our cinema exclusively for you and your friends with a minimum spend of £300.
We have a cinema menu with dishes priced at £5. It comes served in a bowl with a wooden fork. (no annoying noises & less chance of spilling if your team scores), or can order from the regular menu.
We have a portable Heineken machine which you can purchase 20 litre pods at £170. You can then serve yourself whilst watching the game.

We have a few vacancies...
Housekeeper - We have two part-time vacancies to help maintain a high standard of cleanliness in our three apartments. Duties include changing beds, cleaning rooms, putting out toiletries and the 'little touches' in readiness for the next guests, as well as cleaning the communal areas of the apartments. Each job is upto 16 hours 5 days over 7 - usually 11am - 2pm as this is the turnaround times £8.10 per hour. Holiday pay
The position requires a good level of reliability and physical fitness, high standards, flexibility and a good degree of common sense.
Line cook- Reliable - Experienced - Friendly - Organised. 5 Days over 7 - always weekends - share of tips - £8.50 per hour.
Waiting/bar staff - Reliable - Friendly - Organised - Table service - cocktails - running food - organising and keeping work areas clean - inability to lean would be preferred - £8 per hour - weekends - part time/full time
